The water evaporates in vacuum and the resulting condensation feeds all the energy back into the system. The vacuum pump is the only energy consumer. The vacuum distillation system operates at the minimum cost and the treated distillate can be used again. The contaminants in the process and waste water are concentrated to the minimum level and can be either reused or disposed of. Due to the dramatic reduction of the energy input and the low operating costs, the investment in the VACUDEST® system is recovered quickly.
