Auto-rinse unit
The VACUDEST® Vacuum Distillation Unit is equipped as standard with a rinse unit for the automatic cleaning of all components in contact with process water, thus drastically reducing the servicing even with heavily contaminated feed. The rinse tank, pneumatic valves and all rinse piping are enclosed in the main system unit. The rinse cycle is automatically initiated, controlled and supervised by the PLC controller.
Minimal maintenance labour
The VACUDEST® Vacuum Distillation Unit is laid out to enable the heat exchanger to be removed by hand very easily for maintenance. In the VACUDEST® 90-2400 the heat-exchanger will be cleaned during the process by the ActivePowerClean-System.
Automatic residue drainage
At the end of the cycle the residues may be ejected under pressure or led if wished to a higher level collection vessel.
Automatic distillate drainage
Distillate is exhausted from the VACUDEST® Vacuum Distillation Unit during processing. It may be piped to a storage vessel either on a higher level or up to several meters away.
ClearCat® for practically free from oil residues
To achieve the highest distillate quality, traces of any entrained or co-distilled oil may be separated with our VACUDEST® ClearCat®. These integrated treatment units are available for sizes 90-1000 of VACUDEST® Vacuum Distillation System.

Process water pre-treatment
In some applications the process water may contain significant quantities of solids or free oil. Rough reduction of gross amounts of such contaminants may be achieved by a belt filter. Small particles and sludge may be reduced with a belt filter or lamellar separator as pre-treatment, without the addition of any consumables.
Free or supernatant oils may be simply removed with a belt or hose skimmer from the surface of the water stream. Where the pH of the process water is strongly acidic, this may be adjusted automatically before distillation by a neutralisation unit. The pH meter, stirrer and reagent doser may be integrated into the process water feed tank.
Distillate post treatment
Minor traces of oils or other co-distilled liquid may be removed with activated carbon or a lamellar separator.
Liquid storage
We supply entire tank and pipe work systems for untreated waste, distillate for re-use or disposal, and residues. Integrated level controllers in these vessels ensure a completely automatic process regardless of load.
Pumps
We also install pumps for filling and emptying all tanks controlled with level detectors.
Construction materials
VACUDEST® units are available in special materials to treat waste with difficult contaminants, e.g. chloride. A range of different materials and specifications are available on special request. The vacuum pump is available in corrosion resistant stainless steel.
