Patented UV Disinfection Technology

We are exclusive UK distributors for this Patented UV Disinfection / UV Sterilisation Technology which is significantly more efficient and more effective than other UV technology available. We can produce a thorough disinfection solution using the following three products:

Microlight® - Throughflow UV Disinfection
Microfloat® - UV Disinfection for tank cleaning in tanks with static & varying levels.
Microspear® - UV Disinfection for tank cleaning in tanks with static levels.

The most obvious solution is not always the best option. We look at the entire system to develop an optimum germ disinfection strategy: taking fluid storage and transport as well as residual effect into account.

Rotational Flow in Microlight®

All our Microlight® disinfection reactors use rotational flow. This guarantees high turbulence which prevents deposits and ensures thorough disinfection as the liquid passes through the reactor. The rotational flow can be adapted to suit requirements and is calculated using the Bodenstein number ensuring the correct settings are selected.

UV Disinfection / UV Sterilisation - How it works

Radiation with UV light (ultraviolet light) is one of the most efficient chemical-free methods for destroying germs.

Our Microlight®, Microfloat®, & Microspear® UV-lamps emit at the optimal wavelength for germ inactivation and guarantee a high germ destruction rate ensuring effective UV Disinfection. This chemical free method does not produce any side effects.

UV-C light is germicidal - i.e., it deactivates the DNA of bacteria, viruses and other pathogens and thus destroys their ability to multiply and cause disease. Specifically, UV-C light causes damage to the nucleic acid of micro-organisms by forming covalent bonds between certain adjacent bases in the DNA. The formation of such bonds prevents the DNA from being unzipped for replication, and the organism is unable to reproduce. In fact, when the organism tries to replicate, it dies and UV Sterilisation is achieved. The UV-C light destroys the micro-organisms in a way that cannot be overcome by evolution so unlike chemical disinfection solutions UV Disinfection is a permanent solution.
